Ernie_Allen

Ernie Allen - Patron

President & CEO of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and of the International Center for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC).  Ernie worked in public service and experienced many tragic cases of child abduction. This led him to co-found the NCMEC in 1984. President Ronald Reagan officially launched the Center and a 24-hour toll-free missing children’s hotline 1-800-THE-LOST.  Under Ernie’s leadership, it has grown into a $38 million organization which has recovered more than 160,000 children. Ernie has received countless awards in recognition of his work on behalf of children.  He first met Catherine Meyer in 1997 and together they co-founded ICMEC and co-hosted two conferences on International Parental Child Abduction. Ernie has been a board member of PACT since 1999.

Mark_Bergmann

Mark Bergman - Trustee

Attorney at law and Partner of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP since 1991.  Mark is co-head of the Paul, Weiss Global Capital Markets Group and is resident in their London office. In the early 1990s, Mr. Bergman was the resident U.S. corporate partner in the firm’s Paris office.  Mark is a U.S. citizen, but as the son of a U.S. Foreign Service Officer grew up in Paris, Vienna, Kinshasa and Addis Ababa.   Mark has a B.A. from Bowdoin College, an M.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from American University, where he was editor-in-chief of the Law Review.  Mark joined the board in 2008.

Barbara Taylor Bradford, OBE - Trustee

World famous author, whose first novel, A woman of Substance, published in 1979 sold over 30 million copies world-wide. Barbara was born and raised in Leeds, West Yorkshire.  She started her career as a journalist at the Yorkshire Evening Post and quickly rose to become Woman's Page Editor at the age of 18.  Her books have sold more than 82 million copies worldwide in more than 90 countries and 40 languages. Ten of her books have been made into television mini-series and television movies, produced by her husband, Robert Bradford, to whom she has been happily married for over 40 years.  Barbara has been on the board since 2003.

Anne Bujon de l’Estang - Trustee

Anne Bujon de l'Estang has been actively involved with PACT since its inception. At that time, she was living in Washington DC, with her husband François Bujon de l'Estang, the then French Ambassador to the United-Sates. She joined PACT's board in 2003 and is now living in Paris after having spent many years abroad. Ann has played a major role in helping Catherine introduce the Amber Alert to France in 2005. Ann is also a member of the "Comité Européen d'Aide aux Réfugiés" an NGO sponsored by the EU and the UNHCR, (1979-1982).

Jim Gamble, QPM - Trustee

In a long and distinguished career as a police officer, Jim Gamble was the head of Special Branch in Northern Ireland, overseeing anti-terrorism before becoming Deputy Director General of the National Crime Squad in London.  In 2006, he was asked to set up the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) and was appointed its CEO.  During this time Jim was also the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) lead on child protection, including child abduction, child trafficking and all aspects of online protection. Under his leadership, CEOP rapidly established a national and international reputation as an incredibly effective child protection agency.  Its work has benefited countless children and has resulted in hundreds of pedophiles being arrested. In October 2010 he resigned from CEOP and joined PACT’s board in 2011.

Sir_Christopher_Meyer

Sir Christopher Meyer, KCMG - Trustee

Sir Christopher Meyer is former British Ambassador to the United States and Germany and former Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission. He is a non-executive director of the Arbuthnot Banking Group and a member of the international advisory boards of Fleishman-Hillard and British-American Business inc. He is author of DC Confidential and Getting Our Way and is a regular broadcaster and documentary maker on foreign affairs.  Christopher is married to Catherine and together they have four sons. Having been closely involved with PACT since its creation, he joined the board in 2009.

Adrian_Oldfield

Adrian Oldfield - Trustee

Adrian is a senior IT specialist with Ernst & Young LLP. His involvement with PACT began in 2001 when he was responsible for the rollout of the missingkids.co.uk website across ACPO forces. His focus on the Board is to provide technology advice and support because much of PACT's important work in the field of missing and abducted children is underpinned by the application of technology. He has been on the Board since 2003. Adrian lives in north Hampshire and is maried with 3 children.

Amanda Sayers - Trustee

Amanda qualified as a barrister at Gray’s Inn in 1984 and worked for UBS until 1994. For the next sixteen years, she put her energies into the voluntary sector in education and politics. She is currently Chair of the Board of Governors at Bevington Primary School in North Kensington and took the school from failing an Ofsted inspection to being rated “outstanding”- the highest level- after only 5 years.  Amanda is also Director and Company Secretary of Elgin Estates Limited.  She is married with two children.  Amanda joined PACT’s board in 2010.
